I'm a Texas A&M Aggie class of '95 that was born in Tacoma, Washington but grew up all across the great state of Texas. I've been living in Dallas since 1999. I work in IT and enjoy cars, music, movies, and video games.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe Driving Event 08-08-09 @ TMS : Hyundai Genesis Coupe driving event held at TMS in DFW area on 08-08-09. All cars had the track pack and we had a choice of manual or automatics in both engine configurations. I drove the manual V6 and 2.0turbo. The V6 was definitely my favorite and the car was pretty impressive. The car was very controllable and as Terry displayed, very driftable. The throttle was a bit laggy on take off and the shifter wasn't quite BMW precise, but it's also missing the BMW price! It's a good RWD performance value. The interior was impressive as well. The only flaws being old GM-like signal stalks, fake metal (plastic) trim, and no telescoping wheel. I don't expect real metal at the price point though. Lots of nice features are available as well (Bluetooth, USB iPod input, Homelink, Xenon headlights, satellite radio, Infinity stereo). The car is also very roomy. Wearing a helmet would be tight with the sunroof, but it's still quite impressive.

Frank Lloyd Wright Dallas Buildings : John A. Gillin House in Dallas, Texas. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright around 1950, completed in 1958. It was also featured in the 1996 Wes Anderson movie "Bottle Rocket" with Owen & Luke Wilson. It was the house of Bob Mapplethorpe (character name) in the movie. It was Wright's last home constructed before his death. I've added several photo updates since the first ones were taken in 2005.
